Video: Elvis is in the resort!

THE stage was set for Presley fever in Bridlington, with England’s biggest Elvis Festival taking place all weekend at The Spa, Bridlington.

Elvis fans and tribute artists alike flocked to the second annual event, whose highlight was a “European Elvis championship”.

The event is part of a busy season at the Spa, Bridlington, which will once again be opening its doors for free tours throughout March.

Among the areas on show will be the Royal Hall, which was originally built in 1926 but had to be rebuilt in 1932 following extensive fire damage.

The tours will also take in the Spa Theatre, which was built in 1896.

It too was destroyed by a fire – but the current Edwardian building dates from 1907.

But as well as history, visitors can also look around the new north wing of the building, which was built during the £20m refurbishment.
