Video - Festive binmen create winter wonderland and city rubbish tip - made out of dumped Christmas decorations

A rubbish tip has proved a holiday hit after creating a winter wonderland from recycled Christmas decorations.

The festive grotto is made up of 8,500 Christmas lights, 94 character ornaments, seven large Christmas trees, 33 Christmas decorations with fairy lights, two Darth Vader trees, one blow up snow dome, tinsel and baubles. The colourful display, which has been created by staff at Lifford Lane Household Recycling Centre, in Kings Norton, Birmingham, has attracted thousands of visitors. The site, which is run by tip contractor Veolia Birmingham, used discarded decorations brought to the site by local residents.
