Video: Teenagers sought for knifepoint robbery in Huddersfield

Video footage of two young men police are seeking in connection with a knifepoint robbery has been released today by police.

Two male victims were followed by three other males who caught up with them and demanded their money and possessions.

One of the offenders pulled out a large knife and forced the victims to empty their pockets of their mobile phones and any cash.

The group then left the scene, in an alleyway off Railway Street, Huddersfield, on foot. 

Two of the offenders were slim Asian males aged around 16.

One was the knifeman and was around 5ft 9ins and had a goatee beard. He was wearing a grey, white and black camouflage tracksuit top with a hood. 

The other was around 5ft 5ins, had a silver tooth and was wearing a dark hooded top. 

The robbery happened on November 26 last year at around 3pm.

PC Jane Baragwanath, of Huddersfield CID, said: “We are hoping that releasing this CCTV footage a member of the public will recognise either or both of these males and will come forward to contact the police to assist with our ongoing investigation. 

“This was a terrifying ordeal for the victims who were threatened with a large knife in the town centre.
