Video: Woman of 54 needs therapy because Santa’s not real
LYNNE Cassidy from Wakefield gets depressed every Christmas because she found out at the age of 10 that Father Christmas isn’t real.
While most mums work hard at keeping the spirit of Christmas alive, Ms Cassidy has to take pills to get through the season, because at 54, she still can’t accept Santa isn’t real.
Ms Cassidy, a bereavement councillor, is the first to admit she should know better, but the loss she felt she when found out the truth about Father Christmas still lingers.
She said: “I know it sounds crazy, and it took me a while to come to terms with myself, but when you think about it, it actually makes sense.”
