POLICE investigating a suspicious death at a Leeds flat have revealed that the post-mortem examination is expected to be carried out tomorrow.
Officers found the man’s body after they were called to the property on the second floor of the Saville Green block of flats, Appleton Way, in Burmantofts, at about 8pm yesterday. (Dec 6)
Despite treatment by paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
West Yorkshire Police said a 48-year-old woman in the property was arrested in connection with the incident and is now in police custody for questioning.
A Police Community Support Officer remained on guard outside the flat today.
This afternoon a police spokesman said the post-mortem examination would be conducted tomorrow and it was hoped that the cause of death would then be revealed.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Chief Inspector Paul Fountain, said: “We are continuing our investigations into this incident and a forensic post-mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of death of this man.
“Further enquiries remain ongoing to determine precisely what has occurred.
“A woman remains in custody after being arrested in connection with the incident and at this time we are not seeking anyone else in connection with the matter.
