The village, which received plaudits for converting its unused BT phone box into a tiny library, has a variety of beautiful gardens on display of all sizes and styles.

There will also be a courtesy bus service taking people from one end of the village to the other.

In addition, there will be a floral display in the village church, a local art exhibition and children’s games – and the phone box will be specially decorated for the occasion.

All proceeds will be shared equally between the church, primary school, memorial hall and the proposed tennis courts.

Admission costs £4 for adults and children are free.

Marton-cum-Grafton lies between York, Harrogate and Boroughbridge.
