Hide AdNow, ahead of another meeting tomorrow organised in Burn which has housed a travellers’ site for several decades and is earmarked for three potential new camps, Chris Phillipson, vice chairman of Burn Parish Council, has urged residents to make their voices heard so they are not drowned out by other larger areas.
“It would be unfair for us to have another site here”, he said. “The burden needs to be spread out across the district.”
Tomorrow’s meeting takes place at 7pm in Burn Methodist Chapel and the public consultation over the plans ends on March 21.
