Voices raised for Britten

HUNDREDS of Yorkshire children yesterday celebrated the centenary of composer Benjamin Britten with a performance 
at the Howard Assembly Room in 

Opera North's Friday afternoon performance in celebration of Benjamin Bitten's 100th anniversary.

They were part of a national celebration which saw 100,000 youngsters from across the country simultaneously singing Britten’s Friday Afternoons song cycle.
