The Soi Dog Foundation is a charity which rehabilitates and cares for unwanted and feral dogs in Mao Khao and surrounding areas.

She said: “I will be out there for a total of two months, and will mostly be doing menial – but very important – tasks, such as cleaning, feeding, grooming and exercising.”

Since the trip is entirely self-funded she his hoping for sponsorship from local people and businesses.

She also runs an online shop creating knitted animals, of which 100 per cent of the proceeds will go towards the trip.
