VW campers rise and shine

One of Yorkshire's country homes played host to a festival of classic Volkswagen vehicles at the weekend.

The camper van, the classic vehicle for all surfers, was on display at the event yesterday at Harewood House, near Leeds, which saw fans of VWs of all shapes and sizes descending on the venue.

The event is thought to be one of the largest VW festivals in the UK and saw Volkswagens from different eras on

display. It attracts visitors from across

Visitors also got the chance to see graffiti and airbrushing displays, trade stands and club shows, competitions and children's entertainment.

Guests were invited to get into the festival spirit and camp overnight on Saturday, where there was music, a children's disco and DJs until the early hours.
