Warhol is top of pops
A total of 11,674 people have been to see the pop artist’s works since they went on display at the Ferens on June 1, leading to hopes that it may even surpass the record of 63,000 visitors who saw David Hockney’s Bigger Trees Near Warter when it was on show for 12 weeks last year.
The Warhol exhibition, which runs until January 13, will be joined in November by a series of drawings by Leonardo Da Vinci.

It’s a high-profile exhibition and lots of people are coming in to see it, which is brilliant. It’s a big show to take in and we are hoping people will come back.” PICTURE: tERRY CARROTT
