Advice has been issued to Leeds residents after the city council announced problems with bin collections running behind schedule.
A spokesman for the authority said that 'problems with resources' over the spring Bank Holiday means that collections are currently 'running behind.
Residents have been advised to leave their bins out if it hasn't been collected on time, because some areas have had sections of routes missed.
The statement in full said: "Due to problems with resources over the spring Bank Holiday, some refuse collections are currently running behind.
"If your bin is not collected please leave this out as recovery collections are being arranged for sections of routes missed on their scheduled date.
"We will also be attempting recovery collections on Sunday."
