Waste plant shutting for improvements

A HOUSEHOLD waste recycling centre at Lidget Lane in Ravenfield,Rotherham, will be closed for a fortnight from next Monday to allow for improvement works as part of Rotherham Council's programme to revamp each of its four recycling centres.

So far work has taken place at the tips in Warren Vale, Rawmarsh and Car Hill at Greasbrough.

A Rotherham Council spokesman said: "The works include improvements to drainage, resurfacing and a new layout, making it easier for people to use and so allowing more waste to be recycled.
