Water engineers' exchange scheme
Water engineers and sanitation experts from Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger are visiting Yorkshire this week in what is believed to be the first industry exchange programme of its kind.
Set up by Rotary International, the scheme has been devised to encourage the sharing of ideas on issues such as clean water and sewage treatment.
Simon Barnes, Yorkshire Water’s head of innovation delivery, said: “We're looking forward to spending some quality time with them.”
