Government's benchmark, principal Andrew Chubb, told the Yorkshire Post the school has much to be proud of.

Its first Ofsted monitoring visit found the academy was making good progress and it was also is among the country's highest achievers at "adding value" to its pupils' performance in both maths and English. The school replaced Archbishop Thurstan School and is sponsored by the Church of England Diocese of York.
