Flooding in Yorkshire 2021: full list of Met Office flood warnings as Storm Christoph batters parts of England
Flood warnings have been issued across many parts of Yorkshire due to persistent rain from Storm Christoph.
The Met Office issued an amber weather warning with an expected three inches of rain forecast to fall in worst hit areas.

Hide AdAnd, as rain continues to fall, many river levels have risen - which may cause properties to flood in the surrounding area.
Fast flooding and deep flood water could cause "a danger to life", while some communities could experience disruption to gas, electricity and water supplies.
How many flood warnings are there in Yorkshire?
A total of 98 flood warnings have been issued, meaning flooding is expected and immediate action is required, across Yorkshire.
There are another 113 flood alerts due to rising water levels which could mean that flooding is possible and for people to be prepared.

Hide AdThe Environment Agency is yet to issue any severe flood warnings across Yorkshire.
The amber weather warning, meanwhile, is in place until 12noon on Thursday 21 January, but the impact of Storm Christoph could be longer lasting.
How much rain is expected to fall?
The Met Office has warned that the worst hit parts of the UK could see up to two months’ worth of average rainfall in just two-and-a-half days.
Simon Partridge, a Met Office forecaster, said: “It’s not a traditional sort of storm, it’s going to be windy but it’s not based on the wind strength at all, it’s really down to the disruption that’s being caused by rain.”

Hide AdA major incident was declared in South Yorkshire ahead of the expected heavy rainfall, which began on Tuesday 19 January, as local authorities stepped up preparations.
More than 15,000 sandbags are at the ready around North Yorkshire, say the county council.
Public Health England issued a cold weather alert from “first thing” on Thursday 21 January until 9am on Monday 25 January for Yorkshire and the Humber, North East and North West regions.
The agency said the risk of flooding will amplify the public health risks of the severe cold weather.
