Police stop and warn drivers about heavy fog and extreme weather in Yorkshire

Police are stopping and educating drivers about using their fog lights because of heavy fog in Yorkshire today (Monday).

Numerous vehicles have been stopped and drivers have been educated about using their fog lights on the M62.

Police said visibility is less than 200 metres between junctions 21 and 26.

Officers are also saying that motorists are still driving too quickly for the conditions and that "70mph is a limit and not a target".

The West Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Unit tweeted: "Numerous vehicles stopped and educated regarding the use of their fog lights this morning. Visibility is less than 200 metres between junctions 21 and 26 . Can you make out the make vehicle in the picture? #RPUWest #T4"
