Two lanes of M62 closed after lorry spill

Traffic on the westbound side of the motorway is being held up following the shunt close to junction 30 for Rothwell shortly before noon.

One of the vehicles - a tanker - is leaking corrosive material.

The others involved were a car transporter and a HGV.

The Highways Agency is dealing with the incident.

There were further delays caused by the closure of the A643 Elland Road in Leeds, because of an accident involving a lorry and a car. Slow traffic was reported inbound between the A6110 Ring Road Beeston junction and the Wesley Street junction.
