Were you one of the people who helped woman being attacked in street?

Police are trying to find the people who came to the aid of a woman when she was assaulted in Grimsby yesterday.

Members of the public intervened not one, but twice, when they saw her being attacked by a man in Railway Street at around 3pm.

The first intervened after a man known to her pinned her against a wall.

It mean she was able to walk away in the direction of the pedestrian footbridge.

However, her attacker is said to have followed her and assaulted her once more close to the steps.

It was then that a second member of the public went to her aid.

The man attacking her then walked away in the direction of Freeman Street.

He is described as white, in his 30s, with messy dark hair which is starting to grey. He wore a thick blue jacket and black jeans.
