Award-winning West End play The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time is moving to a new venue after the ceiling collapse at the Apollo Theatre which injured audience members.

The play will resume its West End run at the Gielgud Theatre, from June 24.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, January 17 and priority will be given to those who had bookings at the Apollo.

The Grade II-listed theatre has been closed since the night of December 19 when plaster and masonry plummeted on to the stalls below, taking down a section of a balcony and injuring more than 80 people.

More than 700 people were inside the Apollo which was 45 minutes into the National Theatre’s performance of The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time at the time. Safety checks have since been carried out at all historic theatres in the capital.
