Win or busk?

A violinist who is set to appear on hit TV show Britain’s Got Talent has spent the last 11 years busking on the streets.

Alexandra Parker, 22, will audition in front of a massive audience and judges Michael McIntyre, Amanda Holden and David Hasselhoff on tonight’s show, having honed her act through years of busking in her home town of Doncaster.

She said “When I was 12 years old my dad took me busking a couple of days before Christmas. I had only been playing for a year so you can imagine the sound – I feel sorry for the people who had to hear it.

“I realise it was my dad’s way of helping me to become comfortable playing in front of people so I could do what I really want to do, which is play for people and entertain them.”
