A CONSIGNMENT of turbine components for a controversial wind farm in Holderness are due to start arriving on site tomorrow.
Convoys will leave Hull Docks and arrive at Sunderland Farm, Roos, 90 minutes later travelling on the A1033 and via Winestead.
RES, responsible for the 17MW scheme, says the turbines could be erected by mid-December, depending on the weather, with the site beginning to generate electricity next year.
The Sunderland Farm scheme and a three-turbine wind farm at nearby Tedder Hill were approved on appeal after plans were rejected by East Riding Council.
Deliveries have been scheduled to avoid rush hour traffic, with occasional Saturday deliveries.
