Witnesses plea after four hurt in crash

A blue Citroen Berlingo driven by a 47-year-old woman was travelling along the A57 when it was in collision with a silver Vauxhall Astra driven by a 68-year-old man.

The woman, from Aston, was taken to Rotherham District General Hospital with a broken arm. The driver of the Astra is thought to have broken his shoulder and two female passengers suffered whiplash.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: "It is believed there may have been a third vehicle involved, a white van. Anyone who saw what happened, or saw a white van in the area at the time of the crash, is asked to call 0114 2202970."
