Witnesses sought after pedestrian hit by car in York city centre

A pedestrian has suffered serious leg injuries after being hit by a car in York city centre.

A small black car collided with the pedestrian on The Stonebow on Sunday July 3 at around 11.10pm.

The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to York District Hospital with serious leg injuries, and has since been discharged.

North Yorkshire Police stopped a car matching the description of the one involved in York after the incident but officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
