West Yorkshire Police closed the M62 at junction 27 so they could carry out investigations, causing long delays for motorists heading along the M62 and those wanting to exit at junction 27.

Traffic was diverted but long tailbacks built up as far back as the M606 exit for Bradford.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact Sgt Garry Alderson at the Major Collision Inquiries Team on 01924 292 915 or 293 047.
