Woman airlifted to hospital after crash
A woman was airlifted to hospital yesterday after being thrown from a van in an accident involving a car at Stamford Bridge, near York.
Humberside fire service said they had worked with North Yorkshire firemen to cut free a man who was trapped in the car after the crash at about 8am.
The women was taken to hospital by air ambulance. The man was given first aid and taken to hospital. Five other casualties were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
