Woman badly hurt in car explosion
Residents spoke of hearing a loud "boom" when a car exploded leaving a woman seriously injured.
Police were called to Vigo, near Meopham, Kent, just after 1pm yesterday. The woman, in her 30s, was rushed to Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford with serious leg injuries, a spokeswoman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said.
Two children in the car at the time escaped uninjured.
