Woman dies after ‘fall from second floor window’ in York

North Yorkshire Police said initial inquiries indicated the victim – aged in her 30s – had fallen from a second floor window at the Peasholme homeless centre on Fishergate.

Police were called to the scene by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service at about 12.20am today.

The men arrested in connection with the incident are aged 48 and 50 and both come from York.

A police spokesman said: “A scene guard and protective tent remains in place as officers carry out an examination of the scene of the incident, it is expected to remain in place for the rest of today.”
