Woman dies four weeks after crash
A WOMAN has died nearly four weeks after she was seriously hurt in a collision with an ambulance responding to a 999 emergency call in Wakefield.
The 60-year-old woman was injured when the Volkswagen Golf she was driving was involved in a collision with an ambulance.
The incident happened in Doncaster Road, near Heath Common travellers’ site, on Sunday, October 20.
The woman, who has not been named, had been in a critical condition since the accident. Police confirmed that she died at Leeds General Infirmary on Friday.
