A PEDESTRIAN suffered “life-changing” injuries today when her shopping bags became caught up in a tractor, dragging her underneath.

At 10.05am this morning, the 41-year-old woman was walking along Church Way in Doncaster when a white tractor drove past, catching her shopping bags in one of the wheels.

This then pulled the woman under the back of the vehicle and the tractor drove off.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said: “She has been taken to hospital where her injuries are described as possibly life-changing.

“The LGV is described as a white Volvo tractor with a blue curtain sided trailer.

“Police are appealing for the driver of the LGV, who may not even be aware of the incident, to please come forward and for anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who was in the area between 9.55am and 10.10am, to contact the police.”

Call South Yorkshire Police on 101 with information.
