Woman freed from car near army base

A woman had to be cut free from her car after it collided with another on the A59 close to Menwith Hill, near Blubberhouses, North Yorkshire.The accident happened at about 6.20am today, emergency services were in attendance shortly afterwards.A spokeswoman said the female was cut free and taken to hospital.
