Woman grappleswith knife robber
A woman who scuffled with a robber suffered cuts to her hand during an incident on a canal path in Leeds.
The 31-year-old victim struggled with the knifeman on the Leeds Liverpool canal near the Wellington Road Industrial Estate on Thursday afternoon. The man produced a small knife and waved it towards the woman, causing several minor cuts. The woman managed to get hold of the knife, causing a more serious cut to her left hand. The attacker ran off with a phone and purse which were later recovered from the canalside by police officers.
