Woman hit by two cars on busy Leeds road

A WOMAN was taken to hospital with serious injuries after she was hit two cars on a busy Leeds road.

Police and the ambulance service were called to Harehills Road just before 7pm last night. (Oct 2)

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police told the YEP today that the woman had been crossing the road and was hit by a car.

The impact then sent her into the path of a second vehicle.

Both vehicles stopped at the scene and the drivers were spoken to by police.

The woman was taken to Leeds General Infirmary by ambulance with serious injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

The road was closed by police and re-opened just before 8pm.
