Woman remains in hospital after "nasty attack" in West Yorkshire

The woman, who is in her fifties, was assaulted behind an address in Grove Road, Shipley, at around 10.30pm last night.

She suffered serious injuries to her head and face, and is now said to be in a stable condition in hospital.

A man, who is also in his fifties, suffered minor injuries.

Detective Sergeant Paul Oldham, of Bradford District CID, said: “This was a nasty attack which appears to have followed an incident in Grove Road where a vehicle was believed to be causing a nuisance.

“Our enquiries are continuing and anyone who may have witnessed the assault or is able to assist the investigation further is asked to contact us."
