Woman was ‘pulled into car’ by man near Leeds

Police have been alerted to reports that a woman was forcibly pulled into a car in Thornbury.

West Yorkshire Police are urging a woman to come forward after she was pulled into a Volkswagen saloon in the B&Q car park, in Leeds Road, on Tuesday at around 6pm.

The two occupants, an Asian man and woman, reportedly got out of the car and had an altercation before he pulled her back into the car and drove down Barkerend Road.

The man is described as having pale skin and being in his late 20s. He was approximately 6ft tall and of stocky build. He had thick black hair which was shoulder length at the back and a short black beard. He was wearing all black clothing.

The woman is believed to be in her early 20s and about 5ft 10ins tall. She is described as being of medium build with shoulder length straight black hair which was in a ponytail. She was wearing all black baggy clothing and a black scarf.

Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg, of Bradford District CID, said: “We are keen to speak to this woman to ensure that she is safe and well, as the caller was clearly concerned enough to report this to the police.

“Our enquiries to date have not managed to locate her and we are not aware of anyone matching her description being reported missing.”
