They also found items and paraphernalia associated with the sex industry.

Five women aged 25, 27, 28, 29 and 32 were arrested on suspicion of managing, keeping or permitting a brothel.

After being interviewed, they were released on police bail pending further inquiries.

Officers obtained a warrant after information was passed to them from the local community.

Insp Damien Miller of the NPT said: “Crime and anti-social behaviour won’t be tolerated in our community – and working closely with local residents is crucial to keeping both out of our area.

“Officers are always prepared to act on information we receive, and this warrant is a great example of this. I would always encourage local people with concerns over issues in their area to contact us so we can deal with them.”
