Work by students at arboretum
Sir John and Lady Ropner of Thorp Perrow Arboretum in Bedale, North Yorkshire, admire the bench of oak and scorched oak by Leeds College of Arts student Richard Swales, right. Three furniture-making students from the college have seen their commissioned pieces installed at Thorp Perrow. It is the third year the college has worked with the arboretum.
The new pieces include two oak benches made by Richard Swales and Charlie Cooper as well as a table created by Robert Scott.
