The Green Dragon Inn at Hawdraw, near Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales, is up for sale and being marketed by Colliers International on behalf of owner Mark Thompson.

Mr Thompson is semi retiring with partner Yvonne to run the Hardraw Force Waterfall Centre, and is inviting offers around £750,000 for the Green Dragon freehold property and business, which is also available to lease.

The Inn is based in the heart of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, near the market town of Hawes. It is close to the famous Hawdraw Force, England’s highest single drop waterfall, which featured in the 1991 Kevin Costner Hollywood blockbuster edition of Robin Hood.

Peter Bean, Director of Hotels Agency at Colliers International’s Leeds office, commented: “The Green Dragon has one of the best trading locations in the Yorkshire Dales, tremendous character, lots of letting accommodation and underutilised trading areas so for enthusiastic new operators, there is a huge amount of trading potential to go at.”
