Girl ‘forced to put her sister’s body in freezer’
A teenager has told authorities that her mother killed two of her siblings and forced her to put one of their bodies in the freezer at their Michigan home.
In a court filing, child welfare workers said Mitchelle Blair’s 17-year-old surviving daughter told them Blair tortured her nine-year-old brother, Stephen Berry, for about two weeks before he died in August 2012.
She told them her mother strangled her 13-year-old sister, Stoni Blair, in May 2013. The daughter said her mother made her put Stoni’s body in the freezer. Blair, of Detroit, faces in court on child abuse counts, but could eventually face murder charges.
