Ship remains beached as salvage bid fails

A SALVAGE team has failed in its attempt to drag a cargo ship back out to sea after it ran aground off the coast of India.

MV Wisdom, stranded on the Juhu beach after running aground last week, could not be connected to the tug vessel that would have hauled it back into the waters, apparently because of rough seas.

Several more attempts to do the same were also failed. Salvers from the Singapore-based firm SMIT are to make another attempt to refloat the vessel today.
