Wrap up! Colder weather coming Yorkshire's way

Expect 11C in Harrogate and Driffield and 10C in Whitby and Scarborough.

It's not all bad news, though. Sunseekers could head to Pontefract for a balmy 12C.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "It will be a cloudy start to Friday, with hill fog. Brighter intervals will be fewer than Thursday.

"It will be much cooler than of late."

Some sunny spells at first this evening, but cloud, hill fog and coastal mist returning from the North Sea overnight. Breezy near the coast but lighter winds inland. Most parts dry, apart from some coastal drizzle. Minimum Temperature 6 °C.

Bright spells Saturday and Sunday with most parts dry, just the odd isolated shower. Feeling cool. Local night frost possible. Monday mainly dry with some brighter spells. Temperatures recovering slowly.
