X-Factor Chloe's 'ex' in court for drunken rant at policeman

THE former boyfriend of X-Factor contestant Chloe Mafia has appeared in court after launching a foul-mouthed barrage at an off-duty police officer in West Yorkshire.

Ian Hough, who is the father of the X-Factor hopeful's two-year-old daughter, called the cop a "CID snitching mother******" in the expletive-filled rant at a bus station earlier this month.

The 21-year-old launched a verbal tirade of four-letter insults at the stunned sergeant, who had come to pick up his daughter and her friend, before Hough's friend spat cider through the officer's window.

Hough, who has the word Hustler tattooed on his neck, had been playing a drunken game of football in a bus station with friends Nadeem Hussain Ghani, 25, and Rahmats Gindra, 18, as part of a young group described as being "in high spirits" to Wakefield Magistrates' Court.

It was when off-duty sergeant Mark Rogers came to pick up his daughter that the situation escalated into a hate-filled rant from Hough and Gindra. As his daughter and her friend got into Sgt Rogers' car they told him they had been given a "hard time" by a gang in the station and had been "jostled" and asked for cigarettes.

The concerned father then shouted over to the group, asking them what their problem was, which earned him a torrent of threatening and aggressive abuse.

Hough and Gindra broke off from the group and made their way towards his car, standing only feet away from the officer's open window, before yelling at him. Sgt Rogers then identified himself as a police officer.

Richard Ogden, prosecuting, said: "He (Sgt Rogers) believed they wanted to start fighing."

The exchange was caught on CCTV and was used as evidence in the case.

Chief magistrate Julian Garthwaite told the court, before passing sentence: "Clearly the incident that happened on September 8 was unpleasant.

"There was a threat of violence in it along with a threat of aggression, and we have noted that Mr Hough admitted he would be scared if he was in it."

Mr Ogden said that when Hough, who has a previous conviction for battery, was interviewed by police the following day he told them that he wasn't a violent person and that he didn't recall swearing at the man."

The three defendants, all from Wakefield, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity. Both Hough and Gindra were charged with Section 4, threatening behaviour, while Ghani was charged with common assault -

for spitting the cider.

Ghani was sentenced to 120 hours unpaid work and a compensation payment of 40 pounds, and Hough was sentenced to 60 hours unpaid work and the same payment.

Gindra, who was on suspended sentence, will be sentenced next month.

Louise Marshall, defending, said that all three had "drunk more than they ought to" after they had been to see the body of a friend, John Morgan, who had recently committed suicide.

She also said that he had applied for and got full custody of his and Chloe's child and they were both living at his parents' house in Wakefield.
