Police are asking for the public’s help to find a York man wanted for recall to prison.
Brett Vincent Lill, 46, of Flaxman Avenue, York, was released from prison on licence in June 2017 after being jailed in 2006 for causing grievous bodily harm with intent, officers said.
In its appeal, North Yorkshire Police said he has since breached the terms of his licence and the Prison and Probation Service recalled him to prison in December 2017.
Officers have carried out extensive enquiries to locate him but he remains at large.
It is known that as well as York, he also has connections to the Malton area.
Police have also issued a warning to anyone who is helping him to evade arrest that they may face prosecution.
Anyone who has seen him or knows of his current whereabouts is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101 and pass information to the Force Control Room.
If anyone sees him, they are asked call 999.
Those who wish to remain anonymous can pass information to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
