Yorkshire beach rated 11th best in the country

YORKSHIRE PEOPLe may already know it, but now it is confirmed. Filey beach is among the top 25 in the country.

It comes in at 11th position in a new league table.

But sadly for the White Rose county, it is our only contender in the table.

Woolacombe Beach in Devon is the best followed by Weymouth Beach, Dorset, and Rhossili Bay in the Gower Peninsula.

In fact, three of the top 25 are in Devon, three are in Dorset and four are in Cornwall.

The top 25 of British beaches has been drawn up based on TripAdvisor reviews.

There is also a European top 25 and world top 25. Top in Europe was Rabbit Beach in Lampedusa, Italy. Woolacombe was rated the fourth best.

When it comes to the world, Baia do Sancho, Fernando de Noronha, Brazil, was judged the best.
