Yorkshire craftsmen bottle a fragrance fit for the Queen

A FRAGRANCE made exclusively for the Queen and bottled in a vial crafted in Yorkshire has been conveyed to the Palace as a Jubilee year Christmas gift for Her Majesty.

Ruth Abraham-Araya, a library assistant at the Royal Society of Chemistry, poses with a bottle of Adamas – from the ancient Greek word for diamond – which was commissioned by the society, of which the Queen is a patron. It was created by perfumers at CPL Aromas in Hertfordshire using ingredients symbolising parts of the Commonwealth. The bottle was created by David Sanders and Andrew Wallace in Pateley Bridge using recycled Dartington crystal with red, gold and pink powdered glass.
