Organisers are gearing up for this year’s The Yorkshire Post Motor Show & Classic Car Rally as tickets go on sale today for the event.
Thousands of people are expected to descend on Harewood House in West Yorkshire on Father’s Day (June 21) as the show comes of age in its 21st year. Hundreds of classic and vintage cars will adorn the spectacular grounds of the family seat of the Earl and Countess of Harewood, as car owners vie for top place in a number of categories.
And this year the event will write its own chapter in motoring history as the show pays tribute to the Land Rover Defender, which is due to go out of production in its current form at the end of this year. Lisa Bradbury, senior events coordinator for Yorkshire Post Newspapers, said: “We are delighted to be organising this year’s Father’s Day Motor Show and Classic Car event in the grounds of Harewood House.
For the first time in the show’s history this year classic car exhibitors will be able to camp at Harewood. Ticket prices are: adults: £12, children £6, seniors £9, family ticket (two adults and two children) £30.
People can save 10 per cent by booking in advance. For further information and a booking form contact Karen Cross on 0113 2388201 or email firstname.lastname@example.org or visit http://harewood.org/whats-on/event/fathers-day-classic-car-motor-show/
