Young mothers' life lessons

A GROUP of teenage mothers have delivered lessons to children in schools and pupil referral units about the demands of raising a child.

The 12-week programme, in Doncaster, has seen the group deliver

sessions at Armthorpe School, Springboard Centre PRU and the Maple Medical PRU.

Paula Walker, School Nurse at Doncaster Community Health Care said: "This will bring the young mums' perspective into a classroom setting, giving school-age girls a realistic view into life as a teenage mum.

"We hope the programme will enable young people to make more informed choices about their own health and future plans."
