Youngsters get up to speed for fun run
Children at Cockburn High School, in Leeds, were under starter’s orders yesterday to launch the 2012 Jane Tomlinson’s Run for All junior a mini fun run.
The event for children aged between three and 14 began last year and saw almost 150 youngsters tackle the 2.5km route. And with the run back for a second year, the event on Sunday May 13 is now open for entries.
Events director Sara Birkinshaw said: ‘It’s a short 2.5km course for juniors and a 1.5km run for minis, through the beautiful city streets of Leeds and thanks to our event sponsors Arena, entry is completely free.’
