Yours for £300: Last-minute tickets to see Stone Roses in Halifax

Websites eBay and Gumtree show have tickets listed by third party sellers for up to £300 each of £1,200 for four.

The indie rock legends announced the surprise show at the Victoria Theatre at the weekend and tickets sold out within five hours.

It was arranged as a warm-up for the band’s massive concerts at Manchester’s Etihad Stadium later this month.

They will play another small-scale warm-up show at Carlisle’s Sands Centre on Wednesday, June 8.

Tickets for both gigs went on sale at the venues’ box offices to people who took along a Stone Roses record, concert ticket or T-shirt. They were limited to two per person and cost £25.

Long queues quickly formed outside the Victoria Theatre and the Sands Centre.

The Victoria Theatre tweeted: “So excited @thestoneroses are coming to the Vic! All the best to the fans queuing round the block for tickets!”
