Youths rewarded with park outing

HUNDREDS of young people are about to reap the reward for their hard work with a trip to Flamingo Land.

The 300 Lifestylers from across the county will board five coaches, provided by East Yorkshire Motor Services, this Sunday.

Every year small teams of young people aged 10 to 16 set themselves challenges as part of Humberside Police's Lifestyle event, the winners getting prizes including trips abroad.

"It is superb for us to be part of a project which empowers young people to make such a positive impact to their local community. Once again we are delighted to support the Lifestylers trip to Flamingo Land and wish all the youngsters a great day."

Four cousins, aged 10 to 15, who styled themselves the Ecomaniacs, Bethany Symes, Bryony Bale, Charlotte Snee, Evie Snee, are the reigning champions having won the top prize – a trip to Florida – for revamping the rockery, in Pickering Park, Hull.
